Salary: Competitive, depending on experience. Relocation assistance may be considered for the right candidate.

Benefits: Comprehensive Benefits Package including extended health, dental and vision.

Shifts: 8-4 but must be flexible for service calls anytime and overtime.

Education: Red Seal or BC Journeyman Electrician certification required.

Overhead Crane Rail Experience preferred.
Heavy-duty mechanical background, relevant experience working on machinery – no certifications necessary but a passion for mechanics is a must.
Welding or fabrication and hydraulics experience an asset.

Skills and Abilities:
Great communication skills with the team and clients on site.
A positive attitude, team spirit, and be able to work closely with the aftermarket team.
Ability to remotely assist clients on how to trouble-shoot equipment based on standard operating procedures and technical manuals.
Keen problem-solving ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic issues.
Attention to detail, someone who can record the repair story on work orders, noting problems or unusual situations encountered during repairs.
Dedication to safety, by participating in safety meetings and worksite hazard inspections.
Someone who takes pride in their work, keeping their tools, equipment and work area clean and functional.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits and feeders that form parts of overhead cranes.
Mechanical troubleshooting and repairing of lifting equipment, which involves basic rigging of solid weight.
Complete service calls in a timely, cost-efficient and productive manner to meet the needs of the clients.
Ensure that all necessary shop tools, special tools and service equipment are accounted for and maintained in good order
Assist in training new team members.

Other duties as required.
Working Conditions:
Valid driver’s license and clean abstract required.
Own basic hand tools and testing equipment required.
Comfortable working at heights up to 150 feet and climbing ladders in all safe weather conditions.
Drug testing may be required for some job sites.
