Job Description
Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system,
water supply network and waste and drainage systems
Install, repair and maintain domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and
systems Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in
walls and floors
Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and
welding equipment
Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing
Measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required shape and size
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
Physically demanding, Overtime required, Handling heavy loads, Bending, crouching, kneeling
Requirements
- Education: Completion of high school
- Experience: A minimum of three years of experience on plumbing is required. If the candidate
does not have at least 3 years of experience a post-secondary certificate is required
-A combination of service, commercial and residential experience in plumbing is a great asset.
Salary: $26.00 to $28.00 per hour, 40 Hours per week
Benefits: Disability, Dental and Extended Medical Insurance. We also provide uniforms, vehicle
and phone.
Other: This position will require working 40 hours, 8 hours per day, this may change depending
on the projects, and occasional overtime might be required. Work day starts at 9 AM and
finishes at 6 PM, Monday to Friday.
