Responsibilities:

WORK ACTIVITIES/CONTEXT:

  • Responsible for the repair process of LRU components.
  • Ensures excellent Customer Service to all Customers.
  • Manages day-to-day maintenance provider relationships.
  • Manages efforts to resolve internal/external Customer issues.
  • Responsible for the administration of open repair orders to ensure that they are returned on a timely basis.
  • Analytically review and approve quotes making technical decisions against Repair Orders to maintain the highest quality and insure cost controls.
  • Coordinate with the Airframe and Material Planning Department to ensure pre-draw requirements are met.
  • Follow-up monthly on delinquent orders to maintenance providers.
  • Heavy telephone and e-mail usage with internal and external Customers.
  • Establish and maintain good rapport with internal and external Customers.
  • Identify incorrect data in the CDCS system and communicate such to respective departments for correction.
  • On-going dialogue with current and future maintenance providers regarding service opportunities and reliability improvement solutions.
  • Identify mis-shipments and lost units, ensure replacements/reimbursements for loss of SWA equipment.
  • Research and resolve serial numbers/part numbers for discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with internal customers to facilitate timely shipments as parts are removed from the aircraft.
  • Advise the Purchasing/Material Planning Departments of the cost-effectiveness for expendable parts.
  • Coordinate with Engineering and Aircraft Records Departments to ensure component modifications are properly assigned and identified.
  • Review unserviceable parts for warranty, Maintenance Provider selection and type of service required based on unit history.
  • Communicate maintenance provider issues to effected SWA Maintenance Departments and Leaders.
  • Work with Engineering to identify spares commonality opportunities.
  • Clearly understands purposes, objectives, practices and procedures within the Component Repair Services Department.
  • Must be able to work with other groups inside and outside of SWA to ensure program success.

Qualifications:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • College degree preferred.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of two years technical experience in aircraft/MRO maintenance operation or for a FAA 145 Repair Station (within the Repair/Warranty area preferred).
  • Knowledge of the working system of an aircraft.

LICENSING/CERTIFICATION:

  • A&P License preferred.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

  • Must be able to perform physical activities such as lifting (50 lbs), bend, climb, kneel, stand, sit and walk for extended periods.
  • Must have physical abilities sufficient to work in the vicinity of ramps, warehouse, and at a fast pace.

SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE/WORK STYLE:

  • Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established Employee Guidelines.
  • Must possess good written and oral skills, with the ability to organize and teach.
  • General knowledge of FAA regulations specific to 14 CFR Part 121 air carrier operations.
  • Computer skills should include but are not limited to working with Microsoft Office software, such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with reading and understanding technical manuals and drawings.
  • Must have the ability to work under stressful situations and manage time effectively.
  • Must have the ability to prioritize tasks to meet department objectives and goals.
  • Mental demands include, but are not limited to: detailed work, confidentiality, reading documents, problem-solving, stress, mathematical
  • ability, reasoning, meet and interact with various departments, multiple concurrent tasks, with constant interruptions.

Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Travel and extended work hours may be necessary at times.

Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines.
