Responsibilities:

WORK ACTIVITIES/CONTEXT:

  • Evaluates data collected through task analysis, business process, surveys, and workshops.
  • Documents and analyzes information and data, both qualitative and quantitative.
  • Assists in the development of business cases.
  • Maintains knowledge of all applications used by Customer Relations/Rapid Rewards.
  • Works closely with CR/RR Leaders and Business Consultants on Department/Company initiatives.
  • Works closely with Technology and other Business groups.

May perform other job duties as directed by Employees Leaders.

Qualifications:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelors Degree Preferred. Prefer degree in Statistics, Analytics, Applied Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Proficiency with MS SQL is required.
  • Written communication, public speaking, and presentation skills are required.
  • 1-2 years in data analysis or data visualization design roles is required.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (macros, advanced analytical methods), data analysis, and statistics is required.
  • Working experience with relational databases, (which may include Custom SQL design, PL/SQL, and/or Data Modeling) BI tools, (which may include Cognos, Business Objects, OBIEE, or Teradata), methodologies, and/or responsibilities is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience working with the newest visualization tools such as Tableau or similar data visualization/BI tools (e.g. DataGraph, Highcharts, Protovis, SAS Visual Analytics, D3.js) is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience with, and proficiency in, statistical or modeling software (e.g., SAS, SPSS, R) is preferred.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

  • Ability to type and/or use a computer keyboard with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job.

SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE/WORK STYLE:

  • Conceptualize, design, and develop data visualization solutions that synthesize complex data concepts into clear communications for Leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Technology, Analytics Teams, and Customer Service Teams to identify strategically useful and relevant insights.
  • Possess a strong sense of visual design and interest in creative visualization work.
  • Assist in developing best practices for data presentation and sharing across the organization.
  • Demonstrates ability to know and understand the reporting needs of different levels of Leadership.
  • Demonstrates ability to reduce data to only the bare minimum of what is needed to communicate a message.
  • Ability to learn new tools and new ways of displaying data.???

Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be able to work extended hours in order to implement a project or software release deadline.

Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines.
