Supervises craft employees, through assigned foremen, ensuring that scheduled work is performed in a safe and efficient manner.

Plans construction effort, ensuring that manpower, materials and equipment are efficiently utilized.

Maintains a harmonious relationship with craft and supervision in other disciplines.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

Maintains detailed knowledge of safety rules and regulations and ensures
that all employees within the foreman's area of responsibility complies with them
Plans the work schedule and communicates work requirements to crew.

Responsible for maintaining knowledge of applicable blueprints, specifications, procedures, work schedules and standards for assigned work.

Maintains effective crew assignments by ensuring that crew members assignments relate to their specific skills.

Maintains detailed knowledge of work area.

Meets quantity and quality expectations for assigned work.

Maintains a motivated work crew through effective employee relations and strong leadership.

Ensures that there is a good working relationship with other crafts at the project.

Plans for the effective use of manpower, material and equipment.

Maintains knowledge of safety policies and procedures and performs assigned duties in a safe manner, and, if supervising others, has responsibility for the safety of those being supervised and ensures they comply with established safety policies and procedures and practice safe work habits.

10-15 years in Heavy Industrial Construction experience.
5 years experience in supervisory positions.
Experience in nuclear plant environment preferred
