Responsibilities:

WORK ACTIVITIES/CONTEXT:

  • Processes daily payroll for CS&S Employees utilizing software tools.
  • Performs general tasks such as filing, distribution of miscellaneous documentation and answer phones.
  • Communicates information to CS&S Leadership via e-mail and telephone.
  • Audits and records all payroll exceptions and records for several Employee groups.
  • Audits and maintains attendance records for all CS&S workgroups.
  • Prepares and provides various payroll reports to Leadership.
  • Operates current standard office equipment and communication tools.
  • Interacts with Employees and Leadership to assist in researching Employee payroll and attendance, and communicates information via e-mail, telephone, and in meetings.
  • Provides administrative support to Employees who have sustained an occupational injury.
  • Takes phone calls, listens, and communicates with Employees in a compassionate manner.
  • Serves as a general resource for Occupational Leaves of Absence questions with regard to worker's compensation, salary continuation, transitional duty, FMLA, ADA, company policy issues, and Employee Contract issues.
  • Processes administrative paperwork, maintains excellent filing, recordkeeping, and note-taking systems on all injuries to ensure compliance with Employee Contract, workers' compensation and all related Federal and State regulations.
  • Interacts with external and internal groups concerning Employee issues as they relate to on-the-job injuries and interpretation of Employee Contract and government rules and regulations.
  • Assists in preparing and auditing payroll reports, provide daily support for CS&S payroll processing, and determines pay relating to all LOA's, OJI's, FMLA, and Transitional Duty activity.

Qualifications:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.

EDUCATION:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Some college coursework beneficial.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with payroll administration or working knowledge of payroll and attendance systems preferred.
  • IAM Contract knowledge preferred.
  • Experience in Customer Service is desired.
  • Previous experience processing Leaves of Absence including FMLA and occupational injuries is desired.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

  • Ability to lift, bend, stand, or sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to type and/or use a computer keyboard with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job.

SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE/WORK STYLE:

  • Must have computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Must work under tight time constraints to meet specific deadlines.
  • Must be able to work in a limited space with constant interruptions.
  • Must possess strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
  • Must have the ability to multi-task.
  • Must possess strong communication skills.

Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be able to work flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Work extended hours as directed by Leader.
  • Some travel to include overnight stays.
  • Performs special projects/tasks assigned by Leadership.

Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines.
