Responsibilities:

Empower Tax, a KRONOS Company, is actively seeking to hire bright and motivated problem solvers to join our Tax Outsourcing team located in Richardson, Texas.

The Payroll Tax Account Specialist will be responsible for providing payroll tax support to an assigned client base. This position will serve as a key member of our Tax Outsourcing team working directly with industry leading clients to provide best-in-service" payroll tax expertise. The Payroll Tax Account Specialist ensures that all assigned payroll tax accounts are handled timely, accurately, and with the highest levels of customer service. This is a tremendous opportunity for a skilled payroll tax professional with a good working knowledge of US Payroll taxes along with strong analytical and organizational skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned clients withholding and unemployment tax activity, including compliance with Federal, State, & Local regulations and filing Federal, State & Local payroll tax returns
  • Analyze client data ensuring all records are interfaced successfully into tax software
  • Respond to client inquiries and provide timely and accurate customer support to clients
  • Perform research and resolution for agency generated notices received for assigned clients
  • Facilitate year-end processes including annual Wage & Tax Statements and agency filings
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all client data and payroll related records
  • Other duties as assigned
