Responsibilities:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Intern will work full-time as an Analyst within the Operational Coordination Department to aid in aggregating data from the frontline reports and feedback for dissemination to various levels of Leadership.

Work to conduct analysis relative to systems and business processes in order to create quality technical solutions.

Serve as a resource to ensure effective communications between Operational Coordination and internal and external resources.

Participate in development and acceptance testing of process flows and new platforms for a centralized data repository.

Uses problem solving techniques to research, analyze, and recommend alternative actions for problem resolution.

Develops and deploys data collection and analysis protocols to support Company objectives.

Assists with development and maintenance of data collection tools, specific to reporting.

Conducts routine and special analysis of operational data for the purpose of reporting to Company Leadership on the status of front line operations.

Participate in continual improvement of processes and program development.

Assist with preparation of special requests from Operational Coordination Leadership.

Help design and develop data queries to move and transform data from operational data sources to analytical databases.

Present analysis to various levels of Leadership and Employees.

Qualifications:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.

EDUCATION:

Progress toward undergraduate or graduate degree in Business, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or Information Technology, Operations Research, Aviation/Airline or Business related degree required.

Minimum level accepted: Junior

Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student (minimum 12 credit hours).

Maintained 2.75 or above cumulative GPA.

Coursework must include computer science fundamentals, programming languages, and related technical studies.

Skills/Abilities/Knowledge/Work Style:

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.

Basic knowledge of business analysis, process modeling and redesign required.

Strong understanding of Airline Operations required.

Proficiency in Excel 's advanced functions (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, graphing, etc. ) is required.

Experience working with Tableau or text mining software preferred.

Fundamental understanding of project management techniques preferred.

Problem solving ability and strong written/verbal communications skills required.

Ability to stay organized and manage multiple and concurrent assignments under tight deadlines.

Works well in a culture that is open, direct, respectful, courteous and compassionate.

Quick learner, self-motivated, team oriented, with a sense of humor.
