This posting is for an I&E Technician with a hiring range from a level 1 to a level 5 dependent on experience and skill sets.

The I&E Technician will work within the I&E Automation Team at the Kinder Morgan SACROC gas processing facilities in Snyder, Texas. The SACROC Gas Processing facilities utilize various technical processes that control over 200,000 hp of gas compression with dehydration and membrane separation facilities for C02 recovery injection at liquid and gas production well sites. The SACROC Gas Processing Facility is an OSHA certified PSM Facility.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering fundamental electrical support for the SACROC instrumentation and control systems including routine and preventive maintenance activities, HSSE/Compliance, and contractor management. As a member of the I&E Automation Team this individual is primarily responsible to assure that their assigned work activity meets all Kinder Morgan HSSE standards and compliance requirements set by the PSM facility procedures and electrical governance in coordination with all SACROC Operational and Mechanical Maintenance Teams.

Job Dimensions:
Installs and maintains single and multi-phase electrical power feed and branch circuits including conduit, service control wire, fuse and breaker panels, switches, control sensors, outlets, junction boxes, lighting fixtures, splices, connectors, and ground wiring for red and black installations. Will be required to work on and must be familiar with low voltage single phase and 480v to 138kv three phase circuits. Ensures that the material utilized and workmanship meets the requirements of the applicable technical codes and safety standards.
Participates on teams installing complex communication and control equipment.
Serve as a Kinder Morgan representative to contract activities working on electrical control and automation control equipment.
Assist with planning and scheduling of I&E Automation maintenance activities utilizing the INFOR work order management system and assure work activity alignment with SACROC Operation and Engineering Teams.
Be responsible for ensuring top class electrical safety, regulatory compliance and environmental performance.
Be responsible for electrical contractor work order and invoice review.
Be responsible for Maintenance, PM, HSSE / Compliance, Site Inspections, and Housekeeping related to I&E Automation System area of responsibility.
Be responsible for strengthening team electrical knowledge and learning innovative trouble shooting skills.
Effectively communicate and coordinate with multiple process teams and plant level operations.
Minimum of 3 years of industry experience in Electrical Controls & Automation.
Must have AC three phase voltage experience.
Prefer experience with leadership of contract field construction and I&E crews.
The candidate must have a desire to serve a working leader partnering with contract personnel.
Safety process experience and ability to learn Kinder Morgan Safety and Compliance polices.

Education / Certifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Electrical Controls Certification or Texas Journeyman Electrician License preferred.
Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license and driving record satisfactory as required the company.

Working Conditions:
Job level commensurate with experience and skill sets.
The successful candidate will be required to clear a drug screen and a complete background check, after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed.
Must be available for 24/7 scheduled on call weekdays and weekends including Holidays.
Tasks are performed indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions in daylight & darkness.
May be required to stand, walk, sit, ascend/descend stairs or ladders, use hand tools, reach with hands and arms. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Plant vessels and piping systems contain H2S and hydrocarbon gases which are flammable and may be explosive under certain circumstances.
