Responsibilities:

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Intern will use Excel and VBA to capture data from airport locations and create reporting for Facilities leadership to show trends.

The Intern may assist in communicating with internal customers and gathering information for analysis and reporting. These individuals will be responsible for data analysis of key metrics and modeling the relationship of these metrics with the current processes of Southwest Airlines.

Qualifications:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.

EDUCATION:

Progress toward undergraduate in Business Intelligence, Business Administration, or related field.

Minimum sophomore level.

To be eligible must be currently enrolled as a full time student (minimum 12 credit hours).

Maintained 2.75 or above cumulative GPA.

SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE/WORK STYLE:

Classroom and/or industry experience using programming languages VBA and Excel

Adapts to and uses technology to improve the effectiveness established processes, increase efficiencies, and quickly complete work objectives.

Problem solving ability and strong written/verbal communications skills.

Ability to stay organized and manage multiple and concurrent assignments.

Knowledge or experience in the Aviation Industry preferred.

Involvement in organizations, social service, and leadership roles.

Works well in a culture that is open, direct, respectful, courteous and compassionate.

Looking for candidate who is a quick learner, self-motivated, and a team oriented.
