Fluor is providing program management and construction supervision services for the approximately $5 billion Sharq Crossing program
Sharq Crossing is a marquee program in Qatars ambitious development plans ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The project will traverse Doha Bay and will comprise bridge sections interconnected by an immersed tube tunnel to create a new passageway beneath the waters of Doha Bay. Completion of the system is required by 2020 to support the run-up to the World Cup event.
Management of all aspects of delivering the infrastructure development work for this project.
Lead the project team and ensure to be in full compliance with clients contract requirements, quality requirements, design requirements and safety requirements.
Coordinate and manage the external interfaces between the immersed tunnel and other projects.
Coordinate and manage the internal bridge interfaces.
Manage the construction supervisor to facilitate delivery of construction, coordinating logistics, permitting, commissioning and handover activities to contractual technical, budget, schedule and quality requirements.
Monitor works to confirm, they are being carried out in accordance with Operations strategy, standards, policies, procedures and best practices.
Monitor and report on the performance of the construction supervisors and the contractors.
Obtain the required support to assist in the timely payment of invoices and resolution of variations and claims.
Provide regular progress reports to the Program Executive Team.
Manage contractor's remedial and corrective actions to be taken in case of non-conforming work items.
Overview project programming, cost control, time control, quality control, purchasing, contract administration, general site administration and the activities of sub-contractors.
Provide leadership with the Health and Safety requirements as outlined in the Programme Procedure Manuals & work to identify and resolve potential safety issues.
Ensure compliance with the Environmental approval permit and other requirements as outlined in the Programme Procedure Manuals. An accredited Bachelors or Masters degree
Professional Engineer or other professional license
Minimum of 14 years of experience, preferred in immersed tubes and cut and cover tunnels.
Minimum of 7 years of related experience
Experience with managing large infrastructural projects
Experience working in the Middle East preferred
