Responsibilities:

WORK ACTIVITIES/CONTEXT:

Coordinate and manage systems projects.
Supervise Flight Operations testing and analytical resources; prioritize and delegate incoming request appropriately.
Provide first line, 24x7 on-call support for the computer programs used by Crew Scheduling, Planning, Training Scheduling, Payroll, and Pilots.
When necessary, make decisions and guide Technology regarding new business processes, requirements and software releases.
Understand and be able to apply business rules of Crew Planning, Payroll and Scheduling.
Conduct user acceptance testing of a variety of software applications.
Direct Flight Operations requirements gathering, testing and application training efforts.
Identify, evaluate, and document application errors.
Help design medium to high complexity enhancements to existing applications.
Coordinate system related maintenance and outages.
Coordinate cross-department communication regarding system changes and outages.
Interact with Customers and vendors to set priorities and verify status of outstanding issues.
Provide a high level of Customer Service to all business areas.

Qualifications:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or equivalency required
  • Bachelors degree in Business or Aviation related field preferred

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 1 year Airlines experience.
  • Minimum of three years experience inAutomation, Planning, Scheduling or Payroll or two years of experience managing IT related projects.
  • Leadership experience preferred.

SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE/WORK STYLE:

Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines.

  • Must demonstrate the ability to Lead and motivate others.
  • Must be able to multi-task and adjust to quickly changing priorities.
  • Advanced computer skills required, project management and technical analysis experience preferred.
  • Effective use of common business software applications including Access, Excel, Word and others.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, collective bargaining agreements and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to effectively present information, both written and verbal, and communicate with all levels of the user community.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work within specific time frames in both supervised and unsupervised assignments.
  • Mental demands include but are not limited to: People and Leadership development, providing feedback to others, detailed work, reading documents, problem solving, stress, reasoning, verbal and written communications, Customer contact, multiple concurrent tasks, and constant interruptions.
  • Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in the Company guidelines.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Extended work hours may be required.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines.
